Oh, ice cream. I love you the most. Give me a tall, swirly, soft-serve cone. Serenade me with an Oreo ice-cream sandwich. Pile prettily colored party scoops in a dish and pour hot fudge on top. Combine ice cream and cake? You’ll have my heart forever. Another one of my loves? Typography. For years, I’ve hoarded and collected vintage letraset — transfer sheets of lettering — to use on my cake flags. But I found the answer to my craft-and-typography needs in this the cute little Alphabet Stamp Set from Fairgoods.
What you’ll need:
- An ice-cream cake like this one on Coco Cake Land
- Alphabet Stamp Set
- Ink pad
- Colored paper
- A one-inch circle craft punch
- Wooden cocktail sticks
- Clear tape
I used my small one-inch round craft punch to make perfect little circles in some ice-creamy colors. Then, I simply stamped what I wanted on my cake to say: PARTY TIME! (The Alphabet Stamp Set even has punctuation marks, including an ampersand.)
Turn the paper circles over and use small pieces of tape to adhere them to your wooden skewers.
Place your letter toppers into your ice-cream cake and try not to freak out over how cute it looks.
Happy stamping, everyone! Find the ice-cream cake recipe here.
