Maker is a documentary that explores the current maker movement in America. The filmmakers interviewed more than 30 people involved with the movement “in an effort to piece together what this ecosystem looks like, and present insights on how it could have an impact on society, culture, and the economy.”
As an executive producer and backer of the Kickstarter campaign, Fairgoods is pretty pleased to host the Canadian premiere. Join us on June 25 at 7 PM at the Plaza Theatre (1133 Kensington Road NW) in Calgary. Tickets are $10 per person, which includes film admission and our Make Something Beautiful T-shirt, designed by typographer Neil Summerour. Maker Faire YYC, Protospace, Scoperta, and MakeFashion will have displays in the Plaza Theatre’s lobby, including 3D printers, robotic chairs, and a robotic zen garden.
