We’re in the prototype phase for the Ne10 stencil. We talked to Corey about some of the challenges he encountered during the design. He says, “I was way too delicate with my connectors. What works fine in print doesn’t work when made into a physical stencil. So the serif typeface changed drastically, and the Ne10 one had to as well.”
Corey actually modified the Ne10 typeface, adding supports to the D, O, P, and 0, and created the Fairgoods heart icon in the same style to add to the stencil. And, although it’s still in progress, the result is pretty close to the way he had initially envisioned it. “The main
difference is that it will be stainless steel, and I envisioned a blue-ish plastic like the stencil guides I had in school.”
We’re making the first one to start and gauge interest before moving on to the other two. Tell us what you think!
